We are excited to announce a heartfelt new mission at Indian Ridge Animal Hospital! Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing our efforts on Operation Help Appalachia Save Christmas—a community-wide initiative to bring joy to children affected by Hurricane Helene.

This holiday season, we are igniting a spark of hope and asking you to join us in making it shine bright! Starting this week, we will be accepting donations of new toys at our hospital. These donations will go directly to children in Appalachia whose families have lost so much due to the devastating storm.

How You Can Help

Donate Toys: We are now accepting donations of new toys at Indian Ridge Animal Hospital. You can also purchase toys off our Amazon wish list here. In order for us to get gifts to families by Christmas, donations are due by Thursday, December 19^th.
Volunteer: Do you like to Organize? Delivery? Spread the Word? We are happy to have you, you can fill out this form and we will reach out to you with next steps to help. Business, if you would like to participate, see below.
Nominate a Family or Community:We know there are so many people in need, but we don’t know them all. If you know a family or community that could benefit from this effort, nominate them here.

Why This is Important

For many, the memories of Christmas are filled with joy, warmth, and excitement. We remember special moments, like visiting Eastman at Christmas to receive a treasured toy. It is our wish to bring that same happiness to children who are currently facing unimaginable challenges. Families who have lost everything—shelter, warmth, food—are burdened with the need to rebuild, and the thought of Christmas may seem far away.

Together, we can answer the call and be a beacon of light for these families and children.
